1. Share to Slackπ
We've added the capability to share a snapshot of most visualizations on the Dashboard to Slack, allowing you to effortlessly and quickly share insights with your team. We are working on also supporting this feature for Microsoft Teams.
2. Pivot Table Improvements π§
The Pivot Table is one of the most popular analysis tools in Kapiche and provides a lot of flexibility in slicing, aggregating, and contrasting data in the platform. We have a long list of improvements in mind for it and can share a few that we've implemented for this release:
Date bucketing
Now when selecting a Date field as a Row or Column you can choose a date bucketing option such as Monthly or Weekly. This allows you to easily compare Theme frequency by month, for example.
Relative Percentages
The new PERCENT OF ROW display type will provide relative percentages for all cells respective for their row. This makes it easy to see how different Themes are distributed across segments.
Image Export
To bring the Pivot Table in line with other widgets on the Dashboard, we've added the PNG image export capability. We've also made it possible to change which rows or columns are included in the export to allow it to be customised for reporting.
3. Configure Start of Week Day ποΈ
Different companies choose to anchor their reporting week to different days. Kapiche has always defaulted to Sunday as the start of the week, but we have now added the ability to override this in a Project's settings.
4. Improved Custom Columns ποΈ
We've improved the ability to create Custom Columns when creating a Project, including the ability to upload a mappings file to make it easier to perform larger-scale transformations on your data. Read more about it here.
5. Coming Soon: Improved Dashboard Filtering ποΈ
We've got a new Filter Bar coming to the Dashboard that will provide additional filtering options such as "do not include" and numerical ranges. It will also be the foundation for a comparisons mode for Dashboards that are very excited about!
More to come soon
That's it for now, but we have some very exciting features coming soon, including improved comparisons, improved theme building, automatic theme suggestions, and more! If you're interested in giving feedback on these features, please email me or chat with us using the icon on the right π
