Configuring the Slack integration

If you are not an Admin user in Kapiche, you'll need to ask one to set up the integration for you. The settings for the Slack integration can be found by selecting Integrations from the drop-down menu in the top right corner.

If no Slack integration has been configured you will see the Add button and can click it to connect Kapiche with Slack. If a Slack integration has already been configured you will see a Remove button instead.

When you click the Add button, you will be redirected to Slack. If you are a member of multiple workspaces, you may need to select the appropriate workspace to continue. You can do so using the drop-down in the top right corner.

If you continue to see a message like the one above, even after selecting the correct workspace you may not have permission to install apps on your workspace and should speak with your Slack administrator. If your Slack workspace only allows admin users to install apps you may need to provide your Slack admin with the link to install the Kapiche app. To do so simply right-click the Add button on the Integrations page and select Copy link.

Otherwise, you should be able to continue after selecting an initial Slack channel for Kapiche to post to. Within Kapiche you'll still be able to share to other Slack channels; this initial channel selection will just be used to send a confirmation message that the app was installed.

Changing or removing the Slack integration

To change or remove the Slack integration, you can visit the Integrations page. If you would like to change the channel Slack posts to, simply Remove and then Add the integration again, choosing a different channel.
